Mission, Vision, Values
Mission Statement
Spiritual Grounding’s mission is to make Ignatian Spirituality accessible so that any person seeking life-giving spiritual practices can find and deepen their roots in Love.
Vision Statement
We envision a world of justice, peace, and joy that is shaped by people and communities whose genuine encounters with the God of Love have led them to discern and live their own unique roles in God’s Project of Love.
Values
Inclusive
We want our programming to be available where and when people want it.
We don’t use theological jargon.
We welcome everyone with all of their identities and experiences.
Relational
We center connection and community.
We invite people to grow in knowledge of themselves.
We meet people where they are at and accompany them as they grow.
Accountable
We won’t be afraid to make and acknowledge mistakes.
We strive to repair harm when we cause it.
We commit to ongoing learning, growth, and formation.
Socially Just
We believe God calls us to practice a spirituality of justice and equity.
We recognize the harm that Christians have done to many marginalized populations, and we strive to repair this harm through our work.
We challenge people to consider how they relate to the common good and our common home.
